About Us

The Axe Palace: A little bit about what we're about....

The Axe Palace exists today as a response to the frustrations that we ourselves have faced while doing business with all kinds of musical instrument retailers. Lets face it, there are some awesome music stores out there and there are some that are very hard to work with. How many places can you go where you know that anything you walk out with will be fantastic? The AP was conceived and envisioned based on four key values that we extend to every customer of every size:

1. We only carry products that we personally believe in, instruments, amplifiers and accessories that we use ourselves and would recommend to friends.

2. An undying devotion to top quality construction and engineering in the products we carry. Musicians demand so much from their instruments. High quality not only inspires artistic ingenuity, but relieves the burdens and concerns of lower quality instruments, amplifiers and accessories. The AP does not carry shady instruments or equipment, only top-notch quality brands. You simply cannot walk out of our store with something junky.

3. It sounds simple, but customer service. We want the process of finding your sound or locating that guitar you have been looking for to be not only easy, but fun. We love to educate our customers and share opinions based on first-hand experience, but we also look to learn from our customers in every transaction and communication. We are not impossible to get on the phone or to sort an issue out with, and we promise to go the extra mile for you in your search for information and testing before you make a purchase.

4. Technical expertise. We are a gear-head company catering to gear-head customers. We love the details! You will always see high quality images of instruments on our website, and we only carry products that we have extensive knowledge of. Need to know what pickup would work with your guitar? What tubes to put in your amp? What guitar might work based on the sounds you like? We would never recommend something to upsell or rid ourselves of slow moving inventory, and our technical expertise allows us to truly help you find something that you will love.

Store Policies

Payment & Shipping Info

The Axe Palace accepts all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express either through our secure website order system or via phone orders to 508-921-9973. We also accept PayPal. International orders are welcome for many items, but some exclusions may apply. Contact us prior to ordering with any questions.

We ship all guitars with UPS Ground (domestic) or UPS/USPS (international). If you would like to upgrade shipping to 3-day, 2-day, or overnight, you can choose to do during checkout. We do everything we can to help save customers money when importing goods, but ultimately we're not responsible for any customs or associated fees your country may assess. All items purchased from us ship out the day same if ordered before 2PM EST, except in cases where special work is requested by the customer (ie: setups, pickup changes, etc).

All of our shipments will be fully insured and packed safely to protect against any possible damage. However, in the event your item arrives damaged, please notify the UPS driver and contact us immediately. It would be helpful to email us photos of the damage to both the box and item. This will help us iniate a damage claim. When you contact us, we can discuss whether you want a replacement sent out to you, if you just want to file the insurance claim and keep the item, or if you want to send it back for a refund (provided we get a chance to file a damage claim first).

Returns & Exchanges

New items come with a 30 day exchange policy, which allows you to exchange the item for another item of equal or lesser value. If an item you want to exchange has a greater value, the difference must be paid to balance things out. For an exchange to be accepted, you must get an authorization from The Axe Palace by contacting us by phone or email. All items must be in their original condition with all the original packaging and included accessories, otherwise an exchange may be refused or a restocking fee issued. All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.

New items also allow for a 10 day trial period, wherein you will be allowed to return the item for a full refund if you are dissatisfied for any reason. Refund does not include any shipping costs or associated fees. For an return to be accepted, you must get an authorization from The Axe Palace by contacting us by phone or email. All items must be in their original condition with all the original packaging and included accessories, otherwise the return may be refused or a restocking fee issued. All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. Items returned for a refund and then re-purchased by the same customer may not be returned a 2nd time, and such sales are considered final.

For all Used, Clearance, B-Stock, Layaway, and Special Order items, no returns or exchanges will be allowed unless you receive special permission by us in writing prior to the sale. All Custom Shop orders are also final and deposits are non-refundable. Of course, all said items are guaranteed to be described accurately and function properly, and if not returns will be allowed as long as we're notified within 48 hours of receiving the item. 


All international sales are final, with no refunds, returns, or exchanges allowed unless you receive special permission by us in writing prior to the sale. 


Privacy


The Axe Palace is fiercly loyal to our customers and we take your privacy very seriously. We'll never share any of our customer data with any third party. All orders are placed with our secure PayPal / Authorize.net based e-commerce site. We never have access to any credit card information, only the information that is needed for us to ship and contact our customers.
