Our Restrings include cleaning the fingerboard, polishing the frets, re-stringing the guitar and tuning it.

Professional Setups

Our Setups Services offer everything you need to have your guitar play as well as it possibly can. Includes fingerboard cleaning, fret polish, fingerboard conditioning, truss rod adjustment, action and nut height adjustment, intonation adjustment and hardware check before final tuning. We also wipe down the guitar body, neck, and headstock. 

Standard Setup: $75 

Standard Price is for 6 and 7-String Guitars with a fixed bridge as well as 4, 5 and 6-string basses. If you have a vintage trem system that is being pinned to the body then there is no advanced upcharge.

Advanced Setup: $85

This is for guitars that require a little more work to fine tune.  2-Point Trems, Floating Vintage Trems, Floyd Rose bridges, 8-string. This includes shimming Floyd Rose nuts and saddles when needed to achieve proper height and better match the radius. (Material Cost for Extra Floyd Rose Shims is $5)

Additional Charges for Setups

Non-Accessible Truss Rods:            + $10  (having to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod)

Evertune bridges:                             + $25

Kahler Bridges:                                  + $20,000 (okay, +$20)

12-String guitars:                               + $50

Deep Cleaning Fingerboard:         + $20

Deep Cleaning Hardware/Body:   + $50

Lower Locking Nut Shelf:               + $20 

Cutting the nut slots to the correct height is included in a setup.  If the nut slots are too low, filling and recutting 2 slots is also included in the price of a setup.  However, if 3 or more nut slots require filling an additional charge of $5 per slot will be applied to each beyond the first 2. The max upcharge here would be $20 if every slot needs to be filled and recut and will cover the entire nut being adjusted.   We will determine if it is better to glue/dust fill the slots or shim the entire nut.

Additional Services added on to Setups:

These are not recommended to be done without a set-up, so the prices here are add-ons.

Neck Shim: +$25 (We make custom tapered wooden shims to ensure your neck maintains proper contact with the body and wont cause any long term damage to the neck heel or pocket)

Blocking Trem-Style Bridges: 

We make custom sized wooden blocks to sit between your bridge block and the guitar body. This offers you a “dive-only” option with the bridge. This also provides more stability for those who need to down tune their guitar  We adhere the block to the wall of the bridge cavity with double sided tape for completely reversable mod.  We can also opt for a closer to permanent mod by gluing in the block.

Fishman Install (Passive to Active Swap):  $150 (A full rewire including wiring 2 push-pull switches for your choice of voicing and coil tapping options)

Active to Passive Install: $125 (Involves full rewire. Additional fees my apply if drilling for a bridge ground is required)

Standard Pot:                       $25  ($20 for each additional one)

Mini-Switch:                          $25
Mini-Switch (Advanced):    $30 (this is for multipole mini-switches used for polarity and phase switching)
3-Way Toggle or Blade:      $30

Arcade Button Killswitch:  $25
Drilling a new hole or re-sizing a current hole will include an additional upcharge of $10 each

Resoldering or Replacing Jacks, Pots, Switches, Caps, etc: $25 (+$10 each if done with other work)

Sustainer system, Piezo system, or other custom electronic jobs:  These default to our hourly shop rate. Contact us for an estimate.

File Fret Ends

Bolt-Ons: $30 ($20 with set-up)
Set/Thru: $35 ($25 with set-up)

Fret Level and Crown: $200 (Includes a full set-up)
We level under tension, using the string gauges and tuning you choose for your set up. This ensures the truss rod and neck are in the same spot they will be once the guitar is set up and avoids the possibility of the neck shifting during the leveling process. It also helps us identify and work around inconsistencies or slight warping that might present themselves under tension.

Cavity Routing: This is done on the hourly shop rate, but typical charges range from $35-$80 per cut.  

Install Strap Buttons: $25 ($15 with other work)

Dowel and Re-drill Strap Buttons: $35 ($25 with other work)

Install Tuners: $25 – This is for drop-in replacement tuners

Install Tuners (advanced): Billed Hourly. Typically $40 This is when drilling, filling, resizing or refinishing is needed
(If Touch-Up Finish work is needed, it is also billed hourly and is typicaly $85-$100)

Satin finish a neck: Lightly sanding down a painted neck to achieve a silky-smooth feel: $30

Hourly Flat Rate: $80
Applies to non-standard requests and labor intensive work such as fingerboard scalloping, routing, neck sanding and neck shaping. If you don’t see a price listed here it will default to the hourly rate.

Minimum Bench Fee: $25 
This is only for work done, estimates are free.

Same Day Fee: + $30
This greatly depends on our current tech que, and our customers’ needs. Please call us to confirm that this is even a possibility before you come in.  A day or two advance notice makes it much more likely to be done.
