Description

ESP USA HDX-I 3-Tone Sunburst *1 of 30*

The latest addition to the ESP USA Series, the USA HDX-I is based on the design of the original ESP Horizon-III with its extended upper horn and shortened and scooped lower horn, but adds a flat-top body designed for streamlined, high-performance guitar playing. This guitar uses sturdy bolt-on construction at 25.5” scale for snappy response, with a comfortable, resonant swamp ash body and a three-piece extra-thin u-shaped maple neck. Its outstanding 3-Tone Sunburst satin finish is applied to the open-grain ash body for an incredible aesthetic. The USA HDX-I also features a Richlite fingerboard, a superb material being used in the world’s highest-end custom-crafted guitars, and currently being asked for by many of our top artists for their personal instruments. Known for performance and durability, it is ultra smooth, flawless, and stable, and is fully resistant to warping, expansion, and contraction, even in the harshest weather changes. It also allows the maple neck to handle truss rod adjustment more accurately and easily. As far as sound, Richlite is reflective and loud, with a bright attack which is ideal for aggressive styles. Topped with 24 perfectly crowned and rounded extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, this neck is more like a sword designed for precision accuracy, and built to last a lifetime. Perfectly inlaid mother-of-pearl offset dots add the final touch.

Components on the USA HDX-I were carefully selected to bring out the most of this high-quality instrument, and include a Hipshot hardtail bridge with string thru body, Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners, Dunlop Straplok buttons, and a bone nut. A single premium-quality direct-mounted pickup is being offered in this guitar; the Custom 14 is a new custom hand-wound pickup designed exclusively for ESP by Seymour Duncan. The flexible and dynamic Custom 14 pickup offers everything you want, from chimey cleans to sizzling classic rock and metal, to the most crushing, tight modern chug. A push-pull control on the volume knob splits this pickup to the most wide-ranging single coil bridge territory we’ve ever offered.
