Description
The Jackson American Series Rhoads RR24 in Matte Army Drab brings one of Jackson’s most iconic metal shapes into the USA-made American Series with a sharp, stripped-down, performance-first spec. Built in Jackson’s Corona, California facility, the RR24 pairs the unmistakable offset Rhoads body with modern appointments aimed squarely at fast, aggressive playing.
The alder Rhoads body keeps things resonant and punchy, while the neck-through-body 3-piece maple neck with graphite reinforcement gives the guitar excellent stability, upper-fret access, and long, lively sustain. The Speed Neckprofile, rolled ebony fingerboard, and 12″–16″ compound radius make it comfortable for both tight rhythm work and wide bends higher up the neck. With 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, this RR24 is built for players who want a slick, durable fret feel with plenty of room for lead work.
The pickup set keeps things classic but powerful: a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan ’59 SH-1N in the neck. The JB brings tight attack, strong mids, and plenty of output for high-gain tones, while the ’59 neck offers a smoother, more open voice for leads and cleans. A simple 3-way blade switch, master volume, and master tone keep the controls direct and stage-friendly.
Hardware is equally serious, with a Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons, and Luminlay side dots for low-light visibility. Finished in Matte Army Drabwith black hardware, this RR24 has a tough, utilitarian look that suits the shape perfectly without feeling overdone.
