The BFR (Ball Family Reserve) JP15 in the “Toxic Sludge” finish is a limited-edition, high-end variant of the signature model built to the exact specifications of virtuoso guitarist John Petrucci. It stands out not only for its striking look — a black limba body topped with a buckeye burl top finished in “Toxic Sludge” — but also for its top-tier materials and versatile electronics. The bolt-on roasted maple neck with ebony fingerboard, stainless-steel frets, and a super-slim, fast “C”-shaped profile make it ultra-comfortable and ideal for speed, precision, and complex chord work.
The combination of custom pickups, piezo bridge, and onboard boost gives you the flexibility to cover everything from clean acoustic-like tones to high-gain metal leads
As a limited run (only 100 pieces worldwide for Toxic Sludge), it also carries collectible value — each comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and a custom tremolo cover signed by Petrucci himself
